Based on the Judicial Power Law, the Constitutional Court has the authority to adjudicate at the first and final level, with its decisions being final, to decide disputes over the results of Regional Head Elections (Pilkada). This authority includes disputes regarding vote acquisition that affect the determination of elected candidate pairs at the provincial and district/city levels. The distinction between the Election and Pilkada regimes stems from Constitutional Court Decision No. 97/PUU-XI/2013, which resulted in the Constitutional Court not having the authority to examine and adjudicate disputes regarding Pilkada results. However, as long as the Special Judicial Body has not been formed, the Constitutional Court remains authorized to examine and adjudicate such cases..
