Jurnal Ilmiah Metadata does not charge any fees for manuscript submission, initial editorial screening, or the peer-review process. Authors may submit their manuscripts free of charge, and no payment is required until the manuscript has successfully completed the peer-review process and is formally accepted for publication. Upon acceptance, authors are required to pay an Article Processing Charge (APC) to support the editorial and publication process.

Article Processing Charges

• International Authors: USD 35 per accepted article.
• Indonesian Authors: IDR 550,000 per accepted article.

The APC is charged only after the manuscript has been officially accepted by the Editorial Board and has entered the production stage. No fees are charged for manuscripts that are rejected. The APC covers the following publication services:

• Editorial management and manuscript handling;
• Double-blind peer-review administration;
• Professional copyediting and proofreading;
• Layout editing and typesetting;
• DOI registration through Crossref;
• Metadata preparation and indexing services;
• Online publication via the Open Journal Systems (OJS);
• Long-term digital archiving and preservation.

All articles published in Jurnal Ilmiah Metadata are made freely available under the Open Access model. Readers may read, download, copy, distribute, print, cite, and share the published articles without subscription or access fees, provided that proper attribution is given to the original authors and the journal.

Fee Waiver Policy

Requests for a partial or full waiver of the APC may be considered for authors from low-income countries or authors who do not have institutional or research funding. Waiver requests must be submitted to the Editorial Office before or at the time of manuscript submission and will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis by the Editor-in-Chief. The decision regarding fee waivers is final.

The Article Processing Charge (APC) should be paid only after the manuscript has received an official acceptance notification from the Editorial Office.
