Open Archive and Metadata Policy

In an era where digital technology and the Internet play a central role in the dissemination of scientific knowledge, the establishment of standardized search and access systems is essential to ensure that scholarly publications can be easily discovered, accessed, and cited by the global academic community.

The Open Archives Initiative (OAI) represents a set of standardized protocols that facilitate the sharing and exchange of metadata between repositories. Metadata refers to descriptive information about archived materials—such as article titles, author names, abstracts, and publication details—which can be automatically harvested and indexed by various digital libraries and research databases.

MetaJournal of Economics and Business (MJEB) fully supports the OAI Metadata Harvesting Protocol (OAI-PMH) to promote open access and interoperability among repositories. Metadata for all articles published by MJEB is freely available through the journal’s OAI interface, allowing other archives, libraries, and indexing services to collect and display this information comprehensively.

Through this commitment, MetaJournal of Economics and Business (MJEB) contributes to the advancement of open science by ensuring that the research it publishes remains transparent, discoverable, and accessible to researchers, institutions, and the wider public.
