Given its strategic role, national vital objects require a stronger security system based on strict security system standards to minimize security risks and the impact of security threats and confusion. The results of the study are that the security process of the Samapta Directorate of the North Sumatra Regional Police for national vital objects of PT. Pertamina (Persero) Region I - Medan, North Sumatra is based on Presidential Decree No. 63/2004 has the authority to determine the standard of the national vital object security system and periodically carry out audits of the national vital object security system. The North Sumatra Regional Police developed a standard of the national vital object security system that can be used as a reference framework for assessing the performance of the security system of each national vital object.
